Overview: 

It does not matter who you are and what you do. The more successful you want to be, the more Emotional Intelligence (EQ) you must have. There is no other way.

Everything you do sits on emotions and feelings. Everyone you work with has emotions and feelings. Whether you are aware of them or not, emotions are interweaved with everything you think, do, and say each day on the job, and throughout your life.

Emotional Intelligence is your ability to recognize and understand emotions in self and others, and your ability to use this awareness to manage your behavior and relationships. It is one of the most important abilities that an individual can possess, and it is a skill that can be developed with training. 

Course Outcome:

The course aims to address the following: 

  • Recognize your own emotions and stay aware of them as they happen. This includes keeping on top of how you tend to respond to specific situations and people.
  • Use awareness of your emotions to stay flexible and positively direct your behavior. This means managing your emotional reactions to all situations and people.
  • Pick up emotions in other people and understand what is really going on. You will learn how to understand what other people are thinking and feeling even if you don’t feel the same way.
  • Use awareness of your own emotions and the emotions of others to manage interactions successfully. This includes using personal and social competencies to guide clear communication and to handle conflict effectively.
  • Apply Emotional Intelligence to build a trusting relationship in the workplace to achieve organizational goals and team success.

Upon completion of the course, you will learn the following:

  • Key concepts and principles of Emotional Intelligence
  • Understand the physiological behaviors of Emotional Intelligence
  • Analyzes your scores to pinpoint the strategies that will increase your Emotional Intelligence
  • Learn how to improve the relationship by leaving your emotional crutches
  • Increase EQ through engaging and relevant exercises
  • Measure their EQ and discover how to improve each of the four critical emotional intelligence skills
  • Understand the critical link between emotional intelligence, organizational culture, and leadership performance
  • Adopt proven strategies and best practices that will take their leadership skills to the next level

 

Methodology:

This course will be conducted through mini-lectures, interactive activities, games, role play, group discussions, case studies and online EQ (ME) Appraisal.
