Overview:
 
It does not matter who you are and what you do. While qualifications and work experience will always define who is capable of assuming a given role, such competencies rarely predict work performance across a range of occupations and become more predictive of performance the higher one goes up the ladder.
 
Being successful in today’s workplace depends greatly on our ability to understand and effectively manage emotions in both yourself and others. Whether you are aware of them or not, emotions are interweaved with everything you think, do, and say each day on the job, and throughout your life.
 
Research shows that Emotional Intelligence (EQ) is a separate intellectual capacity. With this being the case, EQ has become the new yardstick by which employees and leaders are measured.
 
We use a structured WSQ framework to demonstrate how you can learn EQ quickly and effectively and to apply it in your workplace.   • Assess own level of Emotional Intelligence in one’s dealings and relationships with others in a business context and its effects on achieving organizational goals and objectives.
  • Examine own strengths and weaknesses for the development of own Emotional Intelligence to work effectively with others in a business context to achieve organizational goals and objectives.

  • Learn the root cause of emotional blueprint and how it impacts the behavioral outcome
  • Discover your emotional tendencies and avoid situations that push your button
  • Discover your EQ skill levels and examine own strengths and weaknesses
  • Analyze your scores to pinpoint the strategies that will increase your EQ the most
  • Know what brings your EQ scores down and what you can do to improve
  • Learn immediate strategies to meet the needs of self, others and relationship
  • Examine how trust plays an important role in relationship management
  • Understand how emotional climate is formed at the workplace
  • Learn how to improve the relationship by leaving your emotional crutches
  • Learn signs to improve your listening and observation skills
  • Be aware of own strengths and weaknesses to a better self, and to achieve what you want with others
  • Learn techniques for raising self and social awareness to improve the relationship
  • Learn how to develop your 6-month EQ learning and test yourself twice to improve your EQ skills
 
Methodology:

This course will be conducted through mini-lectures, interactive activities, games, role play, group discussions, case studies, video vignettes and online EQ assessment.
